My Boy Jacob

Jacob is not quite 2 and a half yet but he is definitely his own person now! We love our sweet boy! He is quite a character.

Jacob is either really really happy or really really not – there’s no in between. It’s one or the other. And when it’s the other, the tantrums go on and on! But then again, when he’s super happy, everyone around him can’t help but be happy too!

The boy LOVES shoes – especially his sister’s pink crocs and her princess shoes. But then again, he also loves trucks and cars and super heroes. Every time we are in the car, he will point out all the “big trucks” (could be a regular pick up truck or an 18-wheeler…doesn’t matter) and you have to acknowledge him every time!

He and his big sister get along really well now and play together all of the time. We call Alyssa “Pete” and Jacob “Repeat.” If you call Jacob “Pete,” he will say “No, I’m Repeat!”  And the boy talks almost as much as his sister now. He knows most of his letters and can count to ten. He calls us “Mom and Dad” instead of “Mommy and Daddy” (unless he’s upset) and it’s funny to hear him say things like “Mom, drink your beer!” Apparently we’ve lived in Columbia too long because he knows his colors but one color is pronounced “Rey-ad” (Red) and our guinea pig is “Bay-ell” (Belle).

I like listening to Jacob use his imagination while he is playing with his trucks and super heroes. They have conversations about going to different places and what not.  He also doesn’t have much fear in jumping and climbing on things inside and outside. It’s definitely a fun stage!
