What a Crazy Month!

February has turned out to be a busy crazy month all around. I think we've finally gotten through all the illnesses - me included (knock on wood). We've also finally gotten most of the party things (not all) from Jacob's birthday cleaned up and have even enjoyed some nice unusually warm weather this month. Greg started a new job so he's been busy with that while I've been busy at work too this quarter and we've had a lot of taking turns with the kids while the other is working. I'm ready for things to slow down a bit but I don't see that happening! :) Especially when now Jacob is all over the place! It's like all of a sudden, Jacob "woke" up and decided to move around. He's full on crawling now and pulls up on most anything he can find. Everything is fair game now with him and he's definitely a boy and gets into anything and everything he can find!

He's always been a good eater but now he's really enjoying his table food even more. He eats more than Alyssa these days and LOVES fruit. Lately he's been eating a lot of cheerios, fruit (bananas, strawberries, pears, oranges, peaches, etc), chicken nuggets, chicken sticks, peas, carrotts, yogurt melts, goldfish, yogurt, corn, pasta stars, mac and cheese - you name it. Jacob will definitely let you know when he needs a snack and signs for hungry or food as soon as we get home. And yes, he even got his first rib!

While the food thing is going well, the milk transition is a little slower. We don't know if the milk bothers his stomach because he'll take small sips but still won't drink a lot but if it's water or juice, he'll drink out of his sippy cups. We're down to just one bottle of formula (soy) at nights so we'll see how this progresses.

Jacob has also moved up a room in daycare and is now with the toddlers. They say he's doing really well and has been taking one long nap consistently with the other kids and eating his lunch well. He even gets to go outside and play with his big sister!

Speaking of which, Alyssa is still a nut and a mess as always! Sometimes she's 2 and sometimes we forget she's 2 by the way she communicates with us. She loves her little brother and it's so much fun to watch them interact and crack each other up. Sometimes she's a little too rough on her brother but soon enough, he'll catch up to her. Her favorite show is still Mickey Mouse Clubhouse but lately she's also been more into Dora the Explorer and still likes Yo Gabba Gabba every once in a while. Her favorite snacks are fruit snacks and she still loves playing with her baby dolls.

We even had fun tonight and she saw that my toenails were painted and she wanted hers to be painted as well.....I asked her what color out of the three colors that I had and wouldn't you know...she picked....

Yup, so in addition to our crazy work schedule and crazy warm weather, we have our crazy home life that we wouldn't trade for anything! It's been a lot of fun this month - busy and tiring - but fun nonetheless.

I know I always say this but I really can't believe how fast the kids are growing up and how time flies. I've been trying to enjoy each day to the fullest because it does go by so quickly! And there's no escaping it.... :D
