Jacob's 2 week appointment

Can you believe it's been 2 weeks already? Jacob had his 2 week appointment today but we had a scare earlier in the week. The nurse from the pediatrician's office called on Monday to say that Jacob's thyroid levels were slightly elevated in his newborn screening and that they wanted to get more bloodwork done. Wanting me to take him to a hospital lab, I asked if they couldn't draw the blood in their office - the nurse said she'd call me back and let me know I could come to the pediatrician's office (which made me a lot more comfortable than going to the hospital!) and they would see if they could find a vein easily - if so, they could do it there. Between the jaundice and this, I think Jacob and I have been to the pediatrician's office just about every other day (not really, but at least twice a week so far each week). They were able to get the bloodwork in the office and sent it off for testing. The results came back normal so that's a relief! His two week appointment went well too - the doctor said his coloring looks good and that his weight is up. Everything seemed fine to him so we hopefully don't need to go back until his 2 month checkup. Here are his birth stats vs. newborn checkup stats vs. 2 week stats. Still such a tiny thing compared to his big sister.

Weight - 7 lbs 3.5 oz (15th percentile)
Height - 19.5 inches (23rd percentile)
Head - 37 cm (60th percentile)
